The day that everything was covered with ice
The 26th of January 2005 it was a day that will not be forgotten by the swiss people who lives on the shore of the Lake of Geneva. A rare conjunction of intense cold (-8 to -12 degrees Centigrade), very strong winds, blowing at over 110 kmh and the waves getting so high that they passed over the dikes and the spray of droplets immediatly froze as soon as they touched anything! The result was a world covered by ice: vehicles, trees, benches, everything! The perfect scenario for an incredible walk! The worst part for the people was that many boats sinked under the weight of the ice.
