Update: South Korea Natural Disaster

Photo: Jo Yong-hak/Reuters

What we've (easily) foreseen is sadly taking place. One of the most horrible environmental disaster of our history is happening right now in South Korea. Thousands and thousands of animals of every kind are dead or dying. Tourism, Fishing and Sea Farms which were the three economical activities of the place are destroyed. Fishermen, soldiers and volunteers are fighting without rest trying to save what remains.

In this photo released by Korean Federation for Environmental Movement, a South Korean environmentalist shows a mallards covered in fuel oil from the spill near Mallipo, South Korea, Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007. (AP Photo/ Korean Federation for Environmental Movement. HO)
