Whale caught in crab pots gets stranded but free itself on its own

This is just a brief post to tell you about a piece of news that seems to me really nice after having heard so many times in the last weeks of the death of hundreds of whales and dolphins in several mass-strandings.
The whale you see in the pictures provided by U.S. Coast Guard was spotted just after 2 p.m. on the Oregon Coast yesterday, and was noticed that a line from a crab pot was caught behind its dorsal fin. The whale measured about 30 feet in length and appeared to be an endangered Humpback whale or an even rarer Minke whale.
Luckily after some hours of struggle for survival (witnesses reported that the whale was losing blood) it managed to free itself and swam into deeper waters.
Finally a happy ending!
